Carlo Ancelotti became the most successful manager in UCL history as Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 1–0 in the final.

Real Madrid was led by Carlo Ancelotti to supreme victory

On Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti led Real Madrid to the Champions League title. He won his fourth UCL title in the process, making him the tournament’s all-time winningest manager.

In 2003 and 2007, he led AC Milan to the title, before returning to the continent with Real Madrid in 2014.

“I think the fact that nobody thought we could win it helped us. I think we’ve deserved it,” in a post-match press conference, Ancelotti told reporters.

“We had to suffer a lot to win it, all the way from the last 16, but we never gave up. I have to say that it’s easier to win a Champions League with Real Madrid than with any other club.”

They are a few

Only two coaches have won three European Cups: Zinedine Zidane of Real Madrid and Bob Paisley of Liverpool.

At the Stade de France, Ancelotti created history by defeating them. He also won the title twice as a player, in 1989 and 1990, while playing for AC Milan under Arrigo Sacchi.

Despite the fact that Los Blancos only scored one goal in the final, Ancelotti stated that he never questioned his team.

“I think we managed today’s game well since the key was to avoid giving their front line space,” he said.

“Our back four played very well and they never managed to find space in behind. When their press dropped in the second half, we played better with the ball and we won the game.”
